Cinnamon Marshmallows

If you've ever wished your sweet treat could also support your gut, say hello to your new obsession. These homemade marshmallows are bouncy, cloud soft, refined sugar-free, and will make you never want to buy store bought marshmallows ever again. The star ingredient is bovine gelatin from Perfect Supplements, one of my favorite gut-loving staples. Gelatin is rich in amino acids like glycine and proline, both known to support digestion, sooth the gut lining, and keep your skin glowing from within.

These marshmallows taste nostalgic and indulgent, and the best part? They're secretly supportive for your skin, joints, and gut health. As always they are gluten-free, dairy-free, and free of any nasty additives. The perfect edition for bone broth hot cocoa season (don't knock it till you try it), holiday gifting, or that 3pm "I want something sweet, but make it functional" moment.

What makes these marshmallows gut-friendly

  • Gelatin = gut support. Bovine gelatin helps strengthen the gut lining, improves digestion, and adds protein

  • No corn syrup or inflammatory oils. Just whole foods here

  • Refined sugar- free. You can choose between honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 1/4 cup of Bovine gelatin (I use perfect supplements brand)

  • 1 cup of maple syrup, honey, or coconut sugar syrup

    • Sometimes I do 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1-2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of celtic sea salt

  • 1-2 tsp cinnamon powder

Directions:

  1. In kitchen aid mixer add syrup, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until combined. If you dont have a kitchen aid mixer a hand mixer will work just fine.

  2. On the stove heat your water in a small sauce pan and dissolve your gelatin. Make sure to stir until all clumps are out and gelatin is fully dissolved. Work fast, gelatin will start to bloom quick.

  3. Pour gelatin mixture into your other mixture and whip on slow to medium speed for 10 minutes until mixture is thick, fluffy, and airy. Your mixture should triple in volume. Once mixture is fluffy add cinnamon powder and mix until its fully combined.

  4. Immediatley spread marshamllow mixture into a greased baking dish. Once again, work fast the gelatin will set quick and you wont be able to form or spread your mixture out.

  5. Let them set for 3-6 hours in the fridge or at room temperature. Once mixture is set slice into squares and enjoy!

Ways to elevate these

  • Add peppermint extract instead of vanilla

  • Add beet root powder or spirulina to make them colored

  • Dust them in arrow root or coconut sugar

Whether your soothing your gut, upgrading your cozy holday treats, or just wanting something fun, these homemade marshmallows bring all the fluff with none of the junk. They're simple, nourhsing, and such a sweet way to weave more gut-loving ingredients into your daily rhythm. Whip up a batch, share them with someone you love, and enjoy that little moment of bright, feel-good magic in every bite.
